ON THE FRINGE
1976-1988. 44.5 x 32.5cm. One-of-a-kind.


 Seven oil pastel portraits of members of the audience at the Theatre of the Secret Self, an Edinburgh Fringe production in which I took part in 1976. I put them together as a bookwork in 1988.

 Eight double sheets of dark green paper are sewn into a folder covered in hessian (burlap), painted and fringed with red and blue cotton. Held in a decorated fabric bag.
