Drypoint printed on both sides of Saunders paper, the verso in linear patterns, drawn with a power too, echoing Mozart's quintet in E-flat which was playing while I drew on the zinc plates. Hand-bound in boards covered by paper printed by me, as is the slipcase. This book came about by serendipitous links between the music, a photo of my mother as a young girl in Paris, one of myself as a child, and a book about Matisse which happened to be lying on the table.
