If we continue to love sincerely that which is truly worthy of love and do not throw away our love on things which are insignificant and worthless and dull, we will little by little acquire more and more light and we will become stronger.... the more one keeps to steady rules, the firmer the character grows, without necessarily becoming narrow- minded....In mastering just one thing and understanding it well, one also acquires understanding and knowledge of many other things.
